Privacy Policy

Overview

YourInvoiceApp (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”) provides invoicing and job-management software for construction and landscaping businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to operate the Service and never sell your data.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, company name, and a securely hashed password (or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account’s email and basic profile).
  • Business data you enter — clients, jobs, estimates, invoices, expenses, photos, and messages you create inside the Service.
  • Payment data — billing is handled by Stripe. We store identifiers needed to reconcile payments, but card details are processed and stored by Stripe, not by us.
  • Email-sending connections — if you connect a mailbox to send customer email, we store the credentials needed to send on your behalf (see the Google section below).

How we use Google user data

When you choose “Connect with Google” in Settings to send email from your own Gmail account, we request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send permission. We use this access for a single purpose:

  • To send outbound email (such as invoices, estimates, and customer replies) from your connected Gmail address, at your direction, on your behalf.

We request send-only access. We do not read, search, download, or store the contents of your mailbox, and we do not request any read or modify permissions. Google issues us a refresh token, which we store encrypted at rest and use only to obtain short-lived access tokens for sending the email you ask us to send. You can disconnect at any time from Settings, which deletes the stored token and revokes our ability to send.

Limited Use disclosure

YourInvoiceApp’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it to others except as necessary to provide the Service’s sending feature, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data, and we do not use it to train generalized AI/ML models.

How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and secure the Service.
  • To send transactional messages (verification codes, invoices, and notifications) that you or your customers request.
  • To process subscription billing through Stripe.
  • To respond to support requests and prevent abuse.

Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers that power the features you use — for example Stripe (payments), Google (when you connect Gmail), and Twilio (when you connect SMS). Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention & security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Sensitive credentials (mailbox tokens, SMS tokens) are encrypted at rest. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Your choices

You can disconnect a connected Gmail or SMS account at any time in Settings, update your profile information, or request account deletion. Revoking access through your Google Account permissions page also immediately ends our access to your Gmail.
